ABOUT SHAMRA M. VANWAGONER, J.D.
In 1990, I joined the law firm of Howard & Howard Attorneys, P.C.
in it's Kalamazoo office. I attended Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana. The Howard & Howard Kalamazoo Office was a good location to start my law career as I had connections to the Kalamazoo area through graduating from Kalamazoo College with a B.A. in Economics/Business Administration and a B.A. in Philosophy.

In 1998, I joined the law firm of Smith, Koning, VanWagoner & Beck, P.C. I continued to concentrate my law practice in the area of business succession planning, estate planning and probate/trust administration. I served as the Firm's Managing Partner from 1999
to 2006.
In 2006, I returned to Howard & Howard Attorneys, PLLC. I served as the Kalamazoo office's Managing Partner.
In 2011, after being established in Kalamazoo since 1869, Howard & Howard Attorneys, PLLC decided to no longer have a presence
in Kalamazoo. Our office remained and formed the firm of Beck, Bowser, Chalmers, Shinar & VanWagoner, PLLC,
a/k/a Beck-VanWagoner Law Firm. I continue to focus my practice on business succession planning, estate and trust administration
and estate planning.
